Make 2025 the Year You Finally Find the Time for Your Dreams
Playful Productivity Hub: For Busy Parents with Big Goals
Dear Parent Creator,
Are you ready to turn 2025 into the year you finally carve out time to build your dream side hustle, without sacrificing your health or family life?
If you're juggling work, parenting, and a passion project that never seems to make it off the ground, you're not alone. Many of us are in survival mode, caught in a cycle of overwork, with no time to spare for the things that truly light us up.
But what if you could reclaim 10 hours a week—time to focus on your wealth-building project? And what if pursuing it could feel playful, energizing, and sustainable, rather than another item on your to-do list?
Here’s My Promise: In this newsletter and through my program, I’ll help you not only find that time but make the most of it. Together, we’ll unlock a sense of joy and productivity, so that you can:
Carve out hours in your busy week to focus on your side hustle.
Build your dreams without burning out.
Create a sustainable plan to achieve your goals while staying healthy and connected to your loved ones.
My Personal Journey: A few years ago I wrote and published a book. I was proud of my accomplishment but it came at a price. I nearly lost my health, my job and my family. I set myself never to do that again. I started a journey exactly a year ago, to build my wealth and health while taking care of my family and relationships.
My first step was to time-block the time I would devote to my business, which was 5 hours a week. I started waking up early to work on audience building on X. It was the lowest friction project I could start on.
Now I am moving forward with more ambitious projects, like this newsletter, and I will be pushing harder. To free some extra time, I am going to use automation and delegation, which may mean some cash. I invite you to join me in this journey to free time so you can build the lifestyle you dream of.
Eliminate: I have just mentioned automation and delegation, but my first step has been elimination. I learned this approach from Tim Ferriss, author of The Four Hour Work Week. Before you tackle any of the ideas I am proposing below, think hard of the things you could stop doing altogether:
Stop ironing: Do you really need to iron all your clothes? Ironing used to take me a couple of hours a week. My mum would even iron the underwear. You would be surprised how ‘decent’ clothes look if you just hung them properly folded. And kids… their clothes will be full of creases in minutes anyway. All there is left is the odd piece for a formal event… That is, I am assuming you don´t wear a suit at work. Consider looking for employment in a casual environment -if that is an option. Non-ironing starts when shopping for clothes, picking up materials that don't crease easily. Just saying. So, with this reasoning… How many tasks could you ‘iron’ from your life?
Reduce cleaning: In a household with children, you could be cleaning everyday, but, could you reduce whatever level you are doing now to half? Leaving shoes by the door can drastically reduce the amount of dirt that enters the house. A Spanish saying states: “It is not cleaner the one that cleans the most, but the one that makes less dirt”. Can you come up with other strategies to reduce the need for cleaning?
Ignore people’s opinions. Only the above strategies could save yourself anywhere between 2-5 hours a week, maybe more. How strongly do you feel about perfect sharp shirts or a spotless home vs creating time for your dreams (literally, you may use that time to sleep one more hour a night). I am giving you permission not to be perfect at everything.
At the end of the day, it is a question of priorities. I don´t mean go out there looking scruffy, or never keeping the house. I mean: can you lower your standards a bit, so you make space for what you really care about?. That time can be used for your projects, your health, or your family quality time. It is your choice.
So, if you take nothing else from here, just think overall: what can you eliminate from your task list that will not be critically detrimental to your lifestyle, but can highly impact the time at your disposal?
After you reflect and implement that area, you can move on to the following list of ideas that ChatGPT has shared with me.
